PERSONAL INFORMATION

I am a third generation Hoosier with my grandfather emigrating here from Germany near the turn of the century. My grandfather was a successful Shelby County farmer and Indiana State Legislator. My father owned and operated a service business in Morristown, IN.

I grew up in Shelby County and graduated from Shelbyville High School and Purdue University/Krannert School of Management.

My wife Sue and I met and married while at Purdue. She is from Indianapolis and was graduated from Broad Ripple High School. She attended Hanover College and Purdue University.

Our son Michael attended Purdue University and earned both his BA and MBA in marketing and finance from Indiana University. Currently, he is a vice-president of marketing and finance with a software firm in Colorado. Our daughter Colleen attended Butler University and was graduated from Smith College in Northhampton, MA. After 8 years with WGBH-TV (Frontline) in Boston she moved to California where she is a Senior Producer for Interactive Television with KQED-TV in charge of web page development. We have one grandson, Peary Scott Wilson.

I am active in several professional organizations and Purdue Alumni organizations. I am an IAR Director for MIBOR. Sue is on the boards of our condo association. The Overlook at Williams Creek, The Ensemble Music Society, and the Writers’ Center of Indianapolis and is a volunteer at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Both Sue and I volunteer with The Christamore House, Book and Author Society. Sue is a licensed real estate agent and we work together as a team.

Our interests include reading, cooking, biking, tennis, family and travel. I am a private pilot.
